Big up to Core Riodic Records and all the bands that played at the Carnal Residue Metal Bash. This was the most well organised gig we have been involved in thus far. A big thanks also goes to our fans who despite the slicing winter cold still turned up in large numbers and took over the mosh-pit. You guys rule. This is definitely the beginning of big things to come. Hails to our merchandise sponsor Satu Investments (Pty) Ltd and to TX from Stane for the kick-ass gig t-shirt design.

2008-12-11- Against the Scourge retrospect

The air was electric at Area 2 in Selebi Phikwe as the Dust boys drove in to the venue of the "Against the Scourge" gig. This was a well anticipated appearance of Crackdust at an unlikely gig comprising only northern based bands. This however did not deter the band. When Crackdust took to the stage in the late hours of the night, the crowd went wild. Everybody pushed to the front of the stage to witness with their own eyes as the band delivered. At first it seemed that everybody stood still and stared with mesmerism imprinted in their eyes. Roth could be heard shouting “Show us your craziness, this is death metal baby”. Then all hell just broke loose as Dlax gunned his double bass supported by ground shakes from bassman Lee. The eerie lead lines from Bond completed the magic. This was an action packed gig with Remuda, Dust and Fire, Evergreen, Nodd and Metal Orison also doing their bit.

2008-12-01- Gig appearance changes

There has been some changes to our scheduled appearance at the Rockcember festival. Due to some unforeseen logistical changes we will now be appearing at the “Against the Scourge” festival at Selebi Phikwe in stead. Sincere apologies to our fans that would have loved to see us in Gaborone. The Selebi Phikwe gig however will be equally if not more brutal. Featured will be Crackdust, Vitrified, Metal Orison, Nodd to name a few. For serious head banging, head over to the north this 6th December.

2008-11-18- Rockcember

Join the Dust boys as they spew gore at the Rockcember festival scheduled for December 6th 2008. This is a follow up to the band’s September gig and this one promises to be more aggressive as the band has now found its magic as a four piece. The festival will also feature such bands as Wrust and Stane to name a few. The Dust Merchandise Team will setup shop to provide you with your favorite Crackdust T-shirts and CDs, so go there and hook yourself up. This year will definitely end on a brutal note.

2008-09-11- Crackdust has a new bassist

Crackdust has confirmed the addition of a fourth member. Lee joined the band about two months ago and is now handling the bass department. This has brought about a line-up change with S’Bond now joining Roth on a twin guitar attack. The four piece mania has recently done a debut gig together; so stay tuned for more DUST!!! in no time. Every buddy at the Dust Crew has their knees on the ground for Lee; “Welcome to the world of psychopaths sir, there is only one way in and no way out!!!” The only unanswered question is: who is now the tallest?

2007-12-02- Official release date for Dented Reality - 10 Dec 2007

As you can see from the counter on the left, Dented Reality will be released on the 10th December 2007. The long awaited album will be released in two popular formats for the web community, MP3 (standard) and FLAC (premium).

Whats the difference between MP3 and FLAC?

For more information on Dented Reality go here. We have provided snippets (30sec to 60sec streaming mp3 from each song) from the album to give you an idea of what to expect. Please note that the streaming mp3s have been compressed greatly in order to allow them to play in even slower networks. The sound quality therefore is far from representative of what you will get when you buy.

Our introductory price for the 16 bleeding tracks from Dented Reality is USD$7.99 for mp3 (standard) and USD$8.99 for FLAC (premium). This offer will last for exactly 30 days from the official release date (10th December 2007) of the album. From then the album price will go up by USD$1.00 for both formats to become USD$8.99 for mp3 and USD$9.99 for FLAC.

Why is FLAC more expensive than MP3?

2006-09-09- Crackdust Forums up

We have finally been able to put up Crackdust forums. If you have been dying to post something or to ask the band questions, or post a review, the time is now.

2006-09-06- Download the entire deranged psychopath single!

Great news metal heads! We have put up the entire deranged psychopath single for download free of charge. Included with the title track are two remixes, a bonus track (born of the sorcerer), the instrumental version of deranged psychopath for you that want to practice your growling or play along using the guitar TAB / music sheet that is also available in PDF. As if that wasn't enough, we've decided to throw in the deranged video as well. This will be put up shortly. When you are all listened out you can throw a couple of reviews our way.

2006-08-21- Play along with Crackdust's deranged psychopath!

For those of you that would like to play along with the deranged psychopath track, we have included guitar TAB for you in the downloads section. It’s a pretty accurate rendition of the song if you ask me. Put up the TAB, blast the song, crank the guitar then let us know what you think!

2006-08-16- The dust begins!!!

After a lengthy delay following the release of the debut single; deranged psychopath, Crackdust has finally come back to their senses. The band is now heading back into the studio to finish the recording of their yet untitled album. A lot of stability issues have characterized the first half of 2006 for the band, but now the band seem stronger than ever before. “There has been a lot of shit going on in the band and in the process we deviated from our initial focus. But the guys are back on board and a lot of shit should be happening soon.” S’Bond(bass). It appears the band has revamped their musical approach during this hibernation period and according to Dlax (drums), the music is coming out rawer and stronger than before. “I have a strong feeling for this. It’s exciting to be grinding again and the vibe is more positive this time......” Roth (vox) Crackdust re-enters the studio end of this month; definitely a wave of death dust is beginning to fill the air unless……
